Our daughter turned six months old on April 1. No joke! Time has flown, and she’s already got her own personality. Generally, Maddie is quite a chill and relaxed baby. She doesn’t really fuss much, and does well on outings. She’s learned to roll over, sit up unsupported, laughs and babbles a lot, and likes to grab at anything you’re holding whether it’s a piece of paper or an iPhone. She’s still a tiny baby compared to others, but that’s ok. She’s growing at a steady pace. And as long as she’s healthy, I’m happy.
As for myself, six months postpartum, I’ve come to terms with how my body has changed after my pregnancy. I’ve since lost the baby weight that I gained, but it’s definitely a different body. Life after the birth of Maddie has also changed, and has taken some time to get used to. Every moment, we feel so busy and rushed. I just need to remember to breathe once in a while, and realize that every moment is also fleeting. The moments with Maddie, and the moments that my husband and I have together.
I’m hoping now that every chance I get, I can capture our life with Madeline to remember every bit of how much we love her.
